COUNCILLORS and community leaders have set up a special advice line for residents concerned about coronavirus.

Ward councillors Mark Dyde (district councillor) and Jackie Smethurst (parish council chair) have joined forces to help provide advice and support to residents of Malvern Wells, Wyche and Upper Welland.

By contacting them at mwcovid19@gmail.com or via the phone on 07401 289 223, residents can ask for help or advice from the two councillors.

In a joint statement, they said: “These are worrying times for all of us but if we work together as a community we can achieve great things.

“In our wards we are organising an action group which is combining the efforts of the district council, the parish council, All Saints Church, Age UK and other voluntary organisations to help you at this time.”

There is also a Facebook group, again exclusively for the ward:- Malvern Wells, Wyche & Upper Welland Covid 19 (Corona virus) Support Group.

Reverend Dave Bruce of St Andrew’s and All Saints Church, is also helping. He said: “We have set up a special Community page on our website which we are updating regularly with the help we, and other local organisations, can offer: www.standrewsandallsaints.org/community

“The clergy and other members of the church are specifically praying at noon every day for our community.

“If you have anything that you would like us specifically to pray for you, or your families and friends, then please email your prayer requests to us at prayoneforme@standrewsandallsaints.org.”
