A CAR boot sale that was set to welcome traders and buyers to its new site Herefordshire tomorrow after losing its home in Gloucestershire will not now be taking place.
Gloucester Car Boot and Flea Market, which previously traded at Hempsted Meadows, was due to reopen at the Cattle Market in Ross-on-Wye on June 3.
Organiser Bob Newby said the car boot would operate with protective measures in place, including limiting attendance to 100 people, two metre social distancing, and temperature checks on entry.
But in an update today, Mr Newby said the planned Wednesday sale would no longer be going ahead at the new site after concerns were raised by businesses in the area.
Sunday boot sales are still expected to take place at the site, organisers say.
