NO further coronavirus death have been recorded at Wye Valley Trust in the latest figures released by NHS England.

Figures show 51 people who had tested positive for Covid-19 had died in hospital in Herefordshire as of 5pm on Wednesday (June 3). The most recent death occurred on May 31

As of 4.01pm yesterday, there were 445 confirmed coronavirus cases in Herefordshire, up by one from the previous day.

Across England, 115 new coronavirus related deaths were recorded, with 24 of those occurring in the Midlands.

England's total coronavirus deaths now stand at 27,160.

Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.

This means some of the deaths that were first recorded in the last 24 hours may actually have taken place days earlier.

NHS England guidance states: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure."

Only deaths that occur in hospitals where the patient has tested positive for Covid-19 are recorded, with deaths in the community excluded, such as those in care homes.
