MADAM - I was horrified to hear that Artrix has stopped trading. I understand the reasons behind this decision, but we must find a way for Artrix to continue. Bromsgrove cannot afford to lose such a vital part of its community life.

When my husband and I first moved to Bromsgrove 50 years ago we were delighted to find the wealth of cultural activities within reach: Bromsgrove Concert Club: WORDS: Bromsgrove String Orchestra to name a few, which all provided events of the highest standard.
At that time these all took place in local school halls, and when Artrix opened in 2005 after years of hard work by local enthusiasts, the quality of the arts available in Bromsgrove rose . to a higher level still, people travelling from many miles to enjoy events there. Bromsgrove was really on the map.
Now retired for many years I had found I was visiting Artrix even more regularly for screenings, film shows, lectures and U3A meetings. The venue was easily accessible with plenty of parking, friendly staff and a comfortable ambience.
I knew there were financial difficulties, but thought, and hoped, they were manageable. And then comes Covid-19 to strike this blow.
Surely a solution can and must be found.
Yours sincerely
