A FATHER with terminal cancer has thanked members of the community for helping with his appeal to create happy memories with his wife and child in his final weeks.
Adam Nicholls, 34, from Evesham, thought he had beaten cancer but was recently told it has returned more aggressively and his only treatment option now is palliative chemotherapy to keep it at bay.
However, the outpouring of support from members of the public has lifted his spirits at this difficult time, following an appeal we published last week.
So far, the funding page set up by his father Martin, has smashed the £1,000 target originally set and it now stands at £4,060.
Mr Nicholls said: “I’m really happy with the positive comments posted on the funding page and they mean so much to not just me but all my family.
“It’s great to see messages of support and the love from people and I’m pleased the target has been smashed.”

Mr Nicholls added: “Treatment at the moment is leaving me feeling a bit tired as the drugs take my energy from me.”
He plans to take his family on trips to the seaside, safari parks and Disneyland Paris, when it reopens, building memories for his family to enjoy in the future.
