CRADLEY Town have announced the permanent signing of talented forward Ryan Piggott.
The 19-year-old, who scored twice in his side’s 3-1 FA Vase victory last weekend, has become the youngest player to be offered a contract with the Hammers in the last eight years.
Trevor Thomas, club chairman said: “So talented at such a young age, the club really feel that Ryan can go on and secure his future at professional level.
“We as a club will be offering all the advice he needs.
“Ryan has shown his commitment and enthusiasm throughout pre-season and the start of 2018, and we wish him well for the future.”
Despite the signing of Piggot, it couldn’t inspire the side to victory in their West Midlands Premier basement battle with Bilston Town Community.
Cradley came out on the wrong side of a 3-1 score line which saw their opponents claim their first three points of the season.
Ash Causer’s side will be hoping to amend for the defeat when they face a tough trip to Leicestershire-based Midland League Division One side NKF Burbage in the next round of the FA Vase on Saturday.
