LYE Town boss Andy Wyton admitted he is desperate to sign a striker this week after losing out 2-0 to local rivals Stourport Swifts in the Total Motion Midland Premier Division.

Second half strikes from Swifts substitutes Mark Danks and Jack downing sealed Lye's defeat to leave Wyton fuming.

He said: "We missed chance after chance and then went and gave away two stupid goals.

"We're not scoring and then making silly mistakes. If we continue like that, we'll be on the road to ruin.

"We need to bring in fresh blood and we need somebody who can put the ball in the net.

"I've got two strikers who haven't scored a goal in the league yet this season and that's not good enough and I've told them so.

"I haven't got anyone in mind at the moment but we're working flat out to bring someone in - otherwise we'll continue to go downhill. I will sort the matter out."

Lye Town entertain Nottingham side Dunkirk this Saturday and Wyton added: "It's a must win game. We need to get back on the winning trail."
