MANAGER Gary Hackett says he's delighted that winger Greg Mills has committed to the Glassboys.

The attacker has signed a contract with Stourbridge to ward off interest from other clubs.

The deal will run until the end of the current 2018/19 campaign.

Hackett said: "The one thing with Greg is that he's happy and enjoying his football with us.

"As is often the case when that happens you end up playing your best football and people become interested.

"He has been great for us, both on and off the field. We're delighted that he's agreed to stay with us.

"We have had some interest and one club came in and made a seven day approach. We never keep players in the dark on these things but when we told him he agreed that he wanted to stay.

"He wasn't already on a contract because we'd never worked together before and he was without a club in the summer and we both just wanted him to come down and train and see how he got on.

"He has done really well this season and it's a really big boost for us."

Stourbridge will look to go first in Southern League Central when they go to Leiston this Saturday.
