VETERAN forward Lee Hughes has returned to Halesowen Town.
The former West Bromwich Albion hitman, who stood in as player-manager at the end of last season, has linked up with Paul Smith's new-look Yeltz ahead of the new campaign.
Last season's leading scorer is now hoping to help fire Hales back to the Southern League Central.
Hughes scored 13 goals in 49 appearances for the club and ended last season with 10 goals.
Smith said: "Lee’s pedigree is there for all to see. His record speaks for itself.
"He still has plenty of goals left in him. He also wants to help improve the young crop of strikers we have signed. If they listen and learn he will help them no end. His experience and knowledge is gold.’’
