DIRECTOR of rugby Neil Shillingford praised the way Dudley Kingswinford managed the game against Droitwich Spa.

DK made it two wins from the opening two games in Midlands One West with a 29-5 away success last Saturday.

Shillingford said: "In the first half we played to their strengths a little too much.

"They are a side that is good around the breakdown and we just didn't move the ball quick enough.

"However, in the second half we have settled down and just managed the game really well and have been able to control things. That was the most pleasing thing about the game because it was something we spoke a lot about doing last season.

"We have a lot of kicking options this season with Harry Bayliss coming back, Vaughan at full-back and Josh Melvin able to put his boot through it too.

"We are exactly where we want to be at the moment and have to keep chasing those bonus points because we have learned how important they can be at the end of the season." DK head to Worcester this Friday for a clash under the floodlights.

"It's a different challenge and something else we are going to have to be aware of," added Shillingford. "We have struggled to perform to our best in these night games previously so need to prepare properly." Stef Shillingford came off as a precaution against Droitwich but he should recover from a wrist injury to return against Worcester.
