How they rated:

Halesowen 2, Dunstable 0.

Bunn: Didn’t have a great deal to do for long spells but hand a hand in the vital opener thanks to his quick distribution then made a fine save with his feet late on. 6.

Ashmore: Solid down the right and linked up well with neat balls into midfield in the first half. Dealt well with the threat of Christie when needed. 6.

Bowen: had a great impact down the left flank all afternoon. Worked hard to both defend and support attacks. Halesowen’s biggest threat in the first half and still influencing matters into the second. 7.5.

Piggott: Steadying influence at the back and kept things simple with the ball. Read the game well to help keep Dunstable’s threat to a minimum. 6.

McCone: The experienced defender did well. Won his headers and covered well when Bowen moved up field to join attacks. 6.

Parsons: Did well at the heart of the Yeltz defence. Solid in the air and then chipped in with the killer second goal when reacting well in the six-yard box. 7.

Sammons: Always looking to get on the ball and found space in good areas as Halesowen pushed for the opener. His influence grew as the game went on. 6.5.

R. Bunn: Superb showing from the midfielder. Snapped into challenges and passed the ball well and capped a great performance with a goal when firing beyond Green. 8.

Gibson: Worked hard but passed up a few good openings in either half. A constant threat though as his side pushed for the all-important opener. 7.

Cobourne: Fine debut from the striker. Made selfless runs off the ball and a threat with the ball at his feet. Never hid and showed plenty of confidence for a young player. Plenty more to come. 7.5.

Hewitt: Linked up well with the forwards but did also pass up a few chances of his own. 6.

Subs: Molyneux: Had an instant impact when he won the first header that led to Parsons’ goal. 7.

Yates: Replaced Hewitt to add extra running to the Yeltz attack in the final minutes. 6.

Wright: Late change as Yeltz saw out the closing stages. N/A.
