A BLACK Country schoolboy is celebrating after a big victory at a top table tennis competition.

Kristof Polgar, who is 11 years old and is a year 7 student at Summerhill School, won the Butterfly Schools' Individual Table Tennis Championship County Final in the category under 13 boys singles.

As the Black Country County Champion, he received invitation to the national finals which will take place on the 25th April 2020.

Kristof trains at Bromley Table Tennis Club three times a week with his coaches, Helen Lower and Mark Nicholls.

Kristof's previous achievements include: 6-time British Champion title in table tennis at the British Transplant Games, another 7 British Champion title in tennis and badminton at the British Transplant Games (between 2014-2019).

As a member of Team GB he also became 3-time World Champion at the most recent World Transplant Games in 2019, in table tennis, tennis and badminton.

Kristof is very proud of his first ever County Table Tennis Champion title and very excited to represent Kingswinford, the Black Country County, Summerhill School and Bromley Table Tennis Club at the National Finals of the Butterfly Individual Championship.
