A SORRY nine-man Knights side was put to the sword by their local rivals as they lost 16-0 to Kingswinford at a rain-soaked Earls High School on Saturday.

Sol Buckner’s side ended a miserable tenure at the Halesowen venue with an 18th league defeat at the hands of a rampant Kingswinford.

The home side was 3-0 down within five minutes and struggled to cope with the onslaught of a team hungry for promotion.

Matt Edwards helped himself to four goals with Ajay Sandhu and Daman Johal both grabbing a hat-trick.

Chris Brown, Richard Turner, Sam George, Ginge Sehmbi also found the back of the net.

Buckner said: “Unfortunately that was the worst game of my 20 year playing career.

“We had 11 players at training and just nine for the match. It is excruciatingly frustrating to have performances like this at this stage of the season.”

Training is now taking place for the summer league fixtures. For more information visit www.dudleyknights.co.cc or contact club chairman Michael Hinton on 07722 816719
