MOTORISTS and Dudley borough residents are being warned about a number of roads which are set to be disrupted throughout the next week and beyond.
The one-way system which has been in place on the A491 High Street in Amblecote – which was scheduled to be completed today (Sunday, April 10) is now set to continue as the gas mains replacement work is not yet complete.
Other one-way systems will be in place on:
- Worcester Lane, Stourbridge, northbound from Redlake Road to Railway Bridge, until May 15.
- High Street, Quarry Bank, between Victoria Road and Merry Hill, from April 11 until April 15.
Temporary road closures include:
- Stone Street, Dudley, until April 13, due to the erection and operation of observation wheel.
- Hagley Road South, Stourbridge, until April 29, due to gas mains replacement.
- Oak Lane, Kingswinford, between Stalling Lane and Ham Lane, today (8am until 2pm), due to street cleaning.
- Parkfield Road, Stourbridge, between Burnt Oak Drive and Vauxhall Road, from April 15 until April 17, due to road resurfacing.
Temporary traffic signals include:
- Merry Hill, Brierley Hill, at the junction of Mount Pleasant, until May 5, due to signal upgrading works.
- Longland Road, Halesowen, at the junction of Alison Road, until April 18, due to mains replacement.
- Attwood Street, Lye, until April 15, due to the installation of a new gas service.
- Holloway Street, Dudley, from April 12 to April 14, due to the laying of new water services.
- Darkhouse lane, Coseley, at railway bridge, on April 12 (between 8am and 4pm), due to the removal of a tree.
- Belmont Road, Lye, from April 13 to April 15, due to the repair of water pipes.
- Smithy Lane, Pensnett, on April 13 (between 9.30am until 3.30pm), due to water remedial works.
- Clifton Street, Coseley, near Turlshill Road, on April 14 (between 9.30am and 2.30pm), due to patching works.
- Tansley Hill Road, Dudley, on April 15 (between 9.30am and 3.30pm), due to Virgin Media fitting new tee in the road.
Stop/Go systems include:
- Cinder Road, Lower Gornal, between April 13 and April 15, due to the repair of water pipes.
- Cot Lane, Kingswinford, on April 14 (between 9.30am and 3.30pm), due to the surveying of the sewer.
