DETECTIVES have released descriptions of two men they want to trace in connection with a robbery outside shops in Caledonia, Quarry Bank.

DC Sean Corrigan, from Dudley CID, said officers have been trawling through CCTV from nearby shops following the incident in Mousehall Farm Road in which two men were threatened with a knife.

But in the meantime they have released descriptions of the assailants who are believed to have been drinking outside the Raven pub before the incident which happened at around 7.15pm on Monday June 17.

The attackers, both white and in their early 20s, made off with a mobile phone and an mp3 player after threatening the victims who were sitting in a silver Nissan Micra on the car park by the Caledonia shops.

One of the victims also suffered pain and loss of focus after being kicked in the face by one of the men who swung from a door frame during the drama.

Police say the first offender was of medium build and around five feet nine, with sharp facial features, discoloured teeth and stubble on his chin. He wore a dark blue and orange baseball cap, a navy zip up jacket and jeans.

The second was taller, around six feet, more muscular and had close cropped blonde hair, possibly with a line shaven into it.

Both men, who ran from the scene, were seen with two women - one of whom had red hair.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
