DUDLEY Kingswinford Director of Rugby Gordon Bannatyne bemoaned his side’s start against Bromsgrove this week.
After handing Bromsgrove an early 21-0 lead, the DKs clawed the score back to 29-25 at one stage before losing out 32-25.
Bannatyne claimed: “It really was a tale of two halves. We were at sixes and sevens at the start and really gave ourselves an uphill battle.
“In the second half, we were excellent and we now know we’ve a got a team who can compete.
“It was a compelling game and Bromsgrove were on their knees at the end after spending the whole half defending”.
The DKs will be looking for their first win against Harrogate this Saturday, who were promoted to National League Two North last season through the play-offs and Bannatyne claimed: “Like ourselves, they are fighting for every point. It should be an interesting game”.
