THREE people were taken to hospital after a car flipped onto its roof in a crash in Dudley.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Duncan Edwards Way near Scotts Green Island shortly after 12pm today (July 9) to reports of a two car collision, which saw one vehicle land on its roof. 

Both Duncan Edwards Way and Stourbridge Road were closed on approach to the island for some time while the emergency services dealt with the incident. 

Three people, two men and a woman, were treated at the scene for non-serious injuries and were conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment. 

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on Duncan Edwards Way at 12.09pm.

"Two ambulances attended the scene.

"We treated three patients, two men and a woman, for injuries not believed to be serious before they were taken to Russell’s Hall Hospital for further assessment."
