The former lead singer of a huge 90s band is set to perform a rare acoustic gig at a venue in Stourport.

Tom Hingley, former lead singer of Inspiral Carpets, will be playing at The Swan Stourport (formerly Worley's at The Swan) on High Street.

Arguably one of the biggest bands of the 90s, Inspiral Carpets had connections to the Gallagher brothers and were central to the Manchester scene.

Tom Hingley's acoustic set on Sunday (July 27) will feature hits including 'This is How it Feels' and 'She Comes in the Fall'.

Support comes from Kev Donaldson from local band The Murmur and doors open at 5.30pm.

Licensee of The Swan Isobel Smith said: "It's incredible to see the quality of musicians who are keen to play at our music bar.

"It's a special, intimate space with such a unique vibe. We hope to attract many more mainstream artists over the coming years."

The Swan has hosted some high-profile gigs this year, including Nigel Clark from Dodgy and Fyfe Dangerfield of Guillemots.

Tickets for Tom Hingley are on sale online at www.wegottickets.com/Orange and they will also be on sale on the door at £10.
