POLICE have launched an investigation after a man has died in a crash on a busy road near the Oldbury area.
West Midlands Police said a man has died after a crash that saw a motorbike hit the central reservation of New Birmingham Road in Tividale.
The man, aged 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force is now appealing for information about the crash which happened just after 2.35pm yesterday (September 19).
Detective Sergeant Julie Lyman from West Midlands Police's Serious Collison Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with loved ones affected.
“We have specialist investigators supporting them at this awful time.
“We know there were a lot of witnesses to the collision and urge anyone who hasn’t already, to come forward with any information or video footage about the incident.”

New Birmingham Road, Lower City Road, Tower Road and Hilton Road were all closed for a period of time yesterday afternoon while emergency services were on scene.
