A GLOBALLY recognised ice cream chain is set to arrive at one of the region’s busiest shopping destinations, with signs already spotted by visitors.
Popular ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s is set to open a new store at Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
Shoppers have already noticed branded boards appearing on the upper floor of the centre, hinting that the well-known dessert chain will soon be joining the line-up of retailers and eateries.
While an official opening date has not yet been confirmed, the arrival of the store is expected to be a welcome addition for visitors.
Ben & Jerry’s is a globally renowned American company, founded in 1978 by childhood friends Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield in Burlington, Vermont.
The brand has become famous for its premium ice cream, frozen yoghurt and sorbet, as well as its distinctive “chunks and swirls” flavours.
The new store is expected to offer a wide range of the brand’s signature creations, with customers able to enjoy ice cream in a variety of ways - from dipped waffle cones and classic cups to milkshakes and indulgent sundaes.
The Merry Hill location is also expected to be locally owned and operated.
