FOUR people have been injured in a two-car road traffic collision in Tipton that left a car on its roof.
A woman and three men were injured in the collision, which took place at around 8.30pm yesterday (Monday, April 27) on Sedgley Road West in Tipton.
West Midlands Ambulance Service were deployed to the incident after receiving 'multiple' 999 calls reporting the incident.
Four ambulance crews, HART paramedics, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma team, and a critical care paramedic responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "WMAS arrived to find a serious RTC which had resulted in one car ending up on its roof.
"It was clear that four patients required immediate treatment, with three in a serious condition. A woman was in a critical condition and received advanced trauma care by the team of medics to stabilise her condition on scene.
"The woman was conveyed by ambulance on blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for emergency care.
"Two men sustained multiple serious injuries and needed trauma care from ambulance staff. Both were taken to the same hospital for further treatment.
"A third man sustained less serious injuries and was assessed and treated on scene before being conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital."
