A RECENT community question and answer session in Sedgley has been praised for bringing together residents.
The event, held at The Cosy Bean, was attended by Dudley MP Sonia Kumar and Sedgley Labour candidate Tremaine Herbert, who listened to residents’ concerns on services, high streets, transport, safety and the future of the area.
Ms Kumar said: "It was fantastic to see such strong engagement from residents at this event.
"These conversations really matter, they give people a direct voice and ensure that local priorities are heard loud and clear.
"Tremaine Herbert spoke passionately about her commitment to listening to residents, working hard on their behalf and delivering real results for Sedgley."
Also present was Jeff Ndlovu, Labour’s candidate for Gornal ward, who spoke with residents and showed his support on the day.
Ms Kumar emphasised the importance of community engagement and encouraged voters to make their voices heard in the upcoming elections.
She said: "On Thursday, May 7, residents in Sedgley have an important choice.
"If you want a strong local voice, someone who will listen, work hard and stand up for the community, I encourage you to support Tremaine Herbert.
"By voting Labour, we can continue building a stronger, fairer future for Sedgley and the wider Dudley borough."
The event was part of ongoing efforts by Labour candidates to engage directly with residents and ensure their views are reflected in local decision-making.
