The order, issued by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, will come into effect from June 22 until July 31, or until the work is done, whichever is sooner.
The work will be carried out each day from 8pm to 5am.

Phase 1 of the closure includes roads such as New Birmingham Road (northbound from Burnt Tree Junction to Regent Road), Bunns Lane, and Birmingham New Road (northbound from Burnt Tree Junction to adjacent to the Castlemill Offices).
Phase 2 will affect roads such as Birmingham New Road (southbound from Tesco entrance to Burnt Tree), Burnt Tree, and Tividale Road.
The maximum duration of the order is 18 months.
The council has devised a series of diversions for affected traffic.
Phase 1 will see Birmingham Road south-eastbound traffic diverted via Castlegate Island, Tipton Road, and Birmingham New Road.
Birmingham Road eastbound traffic will be redirected via Castlegate Island, Tipton Road, Dudley Road, High Street (B4517), Park Lane West, Sedgley Road East, Dudley Port, Burnt Tree, and vice versa.
Northbound HGV traffic from Birchley Island will be diverted via Birchley Island, Churchbridge, Oldbury Ringway, Dudley Road, Dudley Road East, Tipton Road, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, High Street (B4517), Dudley Road.
Meanwhile, New Birmingham Road northwest-bound traffic will be redirected via Hill Road, Dudley Road West, Tipton Road, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, High Street (B4517), Dudley Road, Birmingham New Road.
Local diversions for Bunns Lane will include Corporation Road, Highfield Road, and Birmingham Road.
For Phase 2, Birmingham Road eastbound traffic will follow a similar diversion to Phase 1.
Birmingham New Road south-eastbound traffic will be redirected via Dudley Road, High Street (B4517), Park Lane West, Sedgley Road East, Tipton Road, Dudley Road East, Dudley Road, Oldbury Ringway, and Churchbridge.
Tividale Road northwest-bound traffic will be diverted via Dudley Road West, Tipton Road, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, High Street (B4517), and Dudley Road, while southeast-bound traffic will be redirected via Dudley Road West, Dudley Road East, Dudley Road, Oldbury Ringway, and Churchbridge.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.
