The works begin on June 22 and are scheduled to finish by July 31.
Closures will be in place from 8pm to 5am each night.
The works will be carried out in two phases.
Phase 1 covers the closure of several key routes.
These include New Birmingham Road (northbound, from Burnt Tree Junction to Regent Road), Bunns Lane, Birmingham Road (westbound and eastbound), Birmingham New Road (northbound, from Burnt Tree Junction to adjacent to the Castlemill Offices), and Castlegate Drive.
During this phase, traffic will be diverted via several routes.
Birmingham Road south-eastbound traffic will be diverted via Castlegate Island, Tipton Road, Birmingham New Road, and back.
Eastbound traffic on Birmingham Road will be directed through Castlegate Island, Tipton Road, Dudley Road, High Street (B4517), Park Lane West, Sedgley Road East, Dudley Port, and Burnt Tree, returning to the point of origin.
The Birchley Island northbound route for heavy goods vehicles will follow Birchley Island, Churchbridge, Oldbury Ringway, Dudley Road, Dudley Road East, Tipton Road, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, High Street (B4517), Dudley Road.
Northwest-bound traffic on New Birmingham Road will be diverted via Hill Road, Dudley Road West, Tipton Road, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, High Street (B4517), Dudley Road, and Birmingham New Road.
Bunns Lane will have a local diversion via Corporation Road, Highfield Road, and Birmingham Road.
Phase 2 will see closures on Birmingham New Road (southbound, from Tesco entrance to Burnt Tree), Burnt Tree, Tividale Road, and Birmingham New Road (southbound, from Birmingham New Road to Walford Street).
Diversion routes for this phase will direct Birmingham Road eastbound traffic via Castlegate Island, Tipton Road, Dudley Road, High Street (B4517), Park Lane West, Sedgley Road East, Dudley Port, Burnt Tree, and back.
South-eastbound traffic on Birmingham New Road will be diverted through Dudley Road, High Street (B4517), Park Lane West, Sedgley Road East, Tipton Road, Dudley Road East, Dudley Road, Oldbury Ringway, and Churchbridge.
Northwest-bound traffic on Tividale Road will be rerouted via Dudley Road West, Tipton Road, Sedgley Road East, Park Lane West, High Street (B4517), Dudley Road.
Southeast-bound traffic on Tividale Road will be redirected through Dudley Road West, Dudley Road East, Dudley Road, Oldbury Ringway, and Churchbridge.
Throughout the works, access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
The order has a maximum duration of 18 months.
