A ROY Orbison tribute night is set to bring classic hits to Brierley Hill Civic later this month.
The Orbison Project, fronted by tribute artist Dave Collison, will perform at the venue on Thursday, July 30, promising an evening of well-known songs from the legendary singer’s catalogue.
The six-piece band is known for recreating Orbison’s sound and style, with a setlist including favourites such as Oh Pretty Woman, Crying, In Dreams and You Got It.
The show will also feature music from The Traveling Wilburys, including Handle With Care and End Of The Line.
Collison has been performing Orbison’s music since 1992, after first being encouraged by audiences who noticed the similarity in his voice.
He has since toured widely across the UK as a full-time tribute artist.
He said: “I realised just how magical those melodies were – I fell in love with the music..
“I perform songs targeting an audience who have fond memories of the ‘50s and ‘60s.
"It's a privilege to bring Roy’s music to life.”
Brierley Hill Civic, a long-standing community venue dating back to the 1960s, will host the event.
