A CCTV image of a woman has been released as police investigate a robbery in Dudley which saw a shop worker assaulted.

According to West Midlands Police, the incident took place in Dudley at around 2.30pm on Monday, July 6, and involved a woman who stole items from Next.

Police say the woman returned later to try to return the stolen items.

After being confronted by staff, police say the woman took back the items and assaulted a shop worker.

Police have now released a CCTV image as part of their investigation and are urging anyone with information to get in contact.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are looking to speak to anyone who saw what happened or recognises this woman.

"If you know anything, call 101 quoting crime number 20/314763/26."
