A KEY road in Brierley Hill is to be closed overnight for more than two months.

Dudley Council has announced the temporary closure of Embankment, Brierley Hill, to facilitate sheet piling works.

The closure will begin on August 10 and is expected to last until October 19, or until the work is completed, whichever comes first.

The restrictions will apply each night from 10pm until 5am.

The notice can be viewed on the Public Notice Portal via: publicnoticeportal.uk

The work is scheduled to be completed in just over two months.

For the duration of the closure, traffic will be rerouted via Level Street and Central Way.

Bromley, Pensnett, will also experience a temporary closure due to gas mains replacement work.

This closure will also commence on August 10 and is expected to be lifted on August 31, or once the works are completed, whichever comes first.

Traffic will be diverted via Commonside, Bryce Road, and Bromley.

Similarly, Blewitt Street, Pensnett, will be temporarily closed for gas main replacements.

The road will be off-limits starting August 10 until August 31, or until the works are completed, whichever comes first.

The diversion route for this closure will be Commonside, Queen Street, Blewitt Street, and vice versa.

The maximum duration for this order is also 18 months.

All closures are being implemented to allow essential works to be carried out.
