DUDLEY vehicle accessories manufacturer ARB Truckman has appointed Neil Scott as its new general manager.

Mr Scott will oversee day-to-day operations across ARB UK and Truckman, covering manufacturing, marketing, sales and customer experience.

He will report to managing director Richard Langman.

The appointment marks a return to the company for Mr Scott, who first joined Truckman 15 years ago as a sales executive before becoming business development manager.

He then spent nearly nine years at Isuzu UK in senior commercial and operational roles, gaining experience in manufacturer relationships, multi-site operations, supply chains and route-to-market planning.

ARB Truckman, based at Narrowboat Way in Dudley, supplies vehicle accessories and runs a fitting centre in the town.

Its range includes products for pick-ups, 4x4s, vans and other vehicles.

The firm said the appointment comes as it looks to strengthen existing relationships with vehicle manufacturers while expanding into the car and van markets.

It has traditionally been closely associated with pick-up accessories, including hardtops, tonneau covers, bed liners and drawer systems.

The company now intends to grow its premium accessories offering for SUVs, vans and passenger vehicles as customer demand changes.

Mr Scott said returning to the business felt like 'coming home'.

He said: “The market is changing rapidly, particularly within the pick-up sector, but with change comes opportunity.

“My focus is on bringing every area of the business closer together, so we operate more efficiently, market more effectively and continue delivering exceptional products and service for our customers.”

Mr Langman said Mr Scott’s experience at both Truckman and Isuzu UK would be valuable as the company developed its strategy.

He said: “He knows our people, our customers and our products, but just as importantly he returns with almost a decade of invaluable OEM experience that gives us an even stronger understanding of how manufacturers and dealer networks operate.”

The business said Mr Scott would help align its manufacturing, sales and marketing teams, improve operations and support customer service as it looks to grow.

ARB Truckman’s Dudley showroom and fitting centre is near Merry Hill shopping centre and is open to retail and trade customers.
