A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving during a police road safety operation.
The 42-year-old man was detained during a multi-agency road safety operation (MARSO) carried out by Halesowen neighbourhood officers, the Roads Policing Unit, and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency on Mucklow Hill, Halesowen, on Wednesday (September 9).
The driver was arrested after officers became suspicious and carried out a drugs test.
He has since been bailed while enquiries continue.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We routinely conduct road operations like this to ensure those using our road networks are abiding by the laws and keeping themselves and other innocent motorists safe.
"Your safety is our number one priority, and we are committed to reducing the number of fatalities and serious injuries on our roads."
During the operation, six vehicles were seized for having no insurance and several drivers were issued tickets for a range of offences, including driving without a valid MOT.
Other drivers were ordered to remove illegal window tints at the scene and were also issued with tickets.
