Man arrested after A458 Stourbridge Road Halesowen collision

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into a tree in Halesowen.

West Midlands Police said they were called to the A458 Stourbridge Road at around 6.20am today (Sunday, September 13) to reports that a car had collided with a tree. 

A man, aged 30, was taken to hospital and arrested on suspicion of drink driving and theft of a motor vehicle. 

The road was closed for several hours whilst the fire service and police dealt with the incident. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to Stourbridge Road in Halesowen after a car hit a tree at around 6.20am today (Sunday, September 13).

"A man aged 30 has been taken to hospital and arrested on suspicion of drink driving and theft of a motor vehicle.

"Anyone with information should get in touch quoting log 747."
