A DEMENTIA charity is hosting a free event where visitors can find out about more about the condition and what support is available.
It is taking place at Merry Hill Centre, Brierley Hill, on Wednesday, September 16 from 11am-6pm.
Everyone is welcome – including people living with dementia, their carers and family, those who would like to learn more about local dementia services, and anyone interested in supporting Alzheimer’s Society through volunteering or fundraising.
Visitors can speak privately with a dementia adviser, learn about support and attend information sessions throughout the day.
Topics in the short talks include 'What is dementia?', 'Promoting safety and independence within the home', and 'Supporting carers'.
A specialist in Lasting Powers of Attorney, wills, trusts and probate will also give a talk.
Visitors can view products from the Alzheimer's Society for people living with dementia.
The event will be held on the lower mall at Merry Hill, near Harvey Norman, and no appointment is required.
