A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Dudley.

West Midlands Police said they were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Saltwells Road at around 3.25pm today (Tuesday, September 15).

A man, the motorcyclist, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. 

The road was cordoned off by police in both directions from Bowling Green Road to the A459 Halesowen Road near Aldi.

There was a bus detour in place on bus service 7.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to Saltwells Road, Dudley, at around 3.25pm this afternoon (Tuesday, September 15) to a collision involving a car and a motorbike.

"The rider of the motorbike, a man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting 3657 of September 15."

West Midlands Ambulance Service have been contacted for a comment.
