Fallen branches, power outages and travel disruption have hit parts of the West Midlands following a weekend of severe storms.

Storms Austen and Boelo brought heavy rain and winds of up to 55mph to the region, affecting areas including Dudley, Stourbridge, Halesowen, and Wolverhampton.

A large tree was brought down at Himley Hall, as captured in footage taken on Sunday.

Homes across the West Midlands experienced temporary power cuts, and emergency crews responded to reports of fallen branches, debris, and flooding.

Residents across the Black Country have begun assessing the impact of a turbulent weekend after Storms Austen and Boelo brought strong winds, heavy rain and travel disruption to the region.

Roads became hazardous due to surface water, and both rail and bus services faced delays.

The storms arrived after a summer that saw extreme weather events, including drought and the devastating wildfire that struck Stourbridge in August.
