The iconic Flying Scotsman passing through Stourbridge today (November 4) is "most likely being hauled" say the Severn Valley Railway.

The historic locomotive departs from the Severn Valley Railway in Kidderminster on Wednesday, November 4.

It will depart Severn Valley Railway in Kidderminster at 2.42pm and pass through Kidderminster station at 2.46pm, Blakedown at 2.49pm and Stourbridge Junction at 2.55pm.

The flying Scotsman is “most likely being hauled” as it’s journey through is classed as a diesel loco trailing a load of 400 tonnes.

We have reached out to Severn Valley Railway to check railway cameras to confirm if the locomotive is being hauled.

A spokesperson for the Severn Valley Railway said: "The best place to see it would be from the end of its car park as its platform will be closed."

The Flying Scotsman became world-famous in 1934 as the first steam locomotive to reach 100 miles per hour.
