BUSINESSES across the Black Country are being invited to take part in a charity quiz and curry night to raise money for a women’s aid charity.

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce is organising the event at The Pavilion in Wolverhampton on Thursday, November 26, with all proceeds going to Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA).

The charity, which is the chamber's charity of the year, supports people experiencing domestic abuse, sexual violence, child exploitation and modern slavery.

The evening will bring local businesses together for a general knowledge quiz, with teams competing against each other while raising money for the charity.

Participants will receive a welcome drink and curry before the quiz, which will be hosted by quizmaster Steve Saul.

The event, sponsored by BlackRook Academy, is making its debut on the chamber calendar.

Sean Jackson, the chamber's head of membership, said: "This is a fun, social event to bring businesses together, all for such a valuable cause.

"Our charity of the year offers refuge, counselling, crisis support and a safe place for people to start again."

The quiz runs from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, with tickets costing £150 plus VAT for a team of six.

Bookings can be made at blackcountrychamber.co.uk/events.
